On Feb. 4 of this year the Wake Forest Demon Deacons visited the Duke Blue Devils in Durham to try to knock off the then 11 ranked Blue Devils. Duke had just come off a tough loss to Syracuse so Jabari Parker and the Blue Devils wanted to make sure they didn't lose two straight. Duke went on to route Wake Forest 83-63 in a game where Parker filled the stat sheet for the Blue Devils with 21 points, eight rebounds, an assist, two steals and two blocks. As a team, Duke shot lights out. The Blue Devils shot nearly 51 percent and hit 12 3-pointers against Wake Forest. This came as a surprise as one of the Demon Deacons' strong suits was their perimeter defense. In addition to Duke's hot shooting, Wake Forest turned the ball over 19 times in a game where they couldn't afford any slip ups. Duke took advantage and scored 26 points off the turnovers. In the end, Duke notched another win against Wake Forest and made it eight straight against their in-state foe. Also contributing to Duke's win was Rasheed Sulaimon with 19 points, four rebounds, and five assists. The Demon Deacons were led by Arnaud William Adala Moto with 10 points and 10 rebounds, and Miles Overton with 12 points.
Duke is coming off a 64-48 win over Virginia Tech and has won eight of 10. They've covered against the spread in six of these games. However, they've either lost or pushed in four of the last five games they've played.
Wake Forest has been far less consistent and has lost eight of 10 ATS in addition to losing all eight of those games straight up. However, Wake Forest has fared a bit better ATS when playing Duke. Over the last 10 games between these two teams, Wake Forest has covered in 6 of 10 and four of the last five.
