Thursday evening, the Detroit Titans will face the Michigan Wolverines.

The Detroit Titans faced an uphill battle in their last game and fell to 1 - 1 as they lost to the Oregon Ducks 83 -66. Detroit caught a break in the 1 ^st half as Oregon was unable to get anything going. But neither was Detroit but it meant that the Titans had a chance and at the half, it was a 35 -35 tie. But the 2^nd half was substantially different for the Titans as they were unable to stop the Ducks. Oregon got back on track in the 2 ^nd and that allowed them to secure the win. Detroit shot just 35% from the field but they did manage 41% from beyond the arc. They might need to play way beyond their talent if they want to even have a shot against the Wolverines.

The Michigan Wolverines encountered very little resistance from their last opponents as they went to 2 - 0 on the season. Michigan beat the Bucknell Bison 77 - 53 on Monday night. As expected, the Bison had no answers for the Wolverines early on. Michigan went on a 12 -2 run to start the game and eventually led 48 -19 by the half. The 2^nd half was just an exercise in futility for the Bison as Michigan continued to impose their will. This game might have been little more that a glorified scrimmage for the Wolverines and their next game might be so tough either. Detroit isn't expected to challenge Michigan much but if Michigan starts slow, Detroit might have a chance.
