Monday afternoon, the DePaul Blue Demons will take on the Colorado Buffaloes.

The DePaul Blue Demons had no chance last Thursday night as they fell to the Oregon State Beavers 90 – 59.  The Blue Demons came out of the gates slow and that start eventually doomed them to failure.  The Beavers went on a 10 - 3 run to start the game and by the half they were up by 20 points.  No matter how hard DePaul tried in the 2nd half, they just couldn’t find a way to cut into the Oregon State lead.  The Blue Demons shot just 34% from the field and that was well below their season average of 49%.  DePaul was led by Jamee Crockett and his 14 points.  If DePaul is to have any shot of getting past Colorado, they will need to get their shooting back close to their season average, if not better than that.

The Colorado Buffaloes last played on December 13th but in that game, they easily dispatched the Northern Colorado Bears 93 – 68.  Northern Colorado put up a lot of fight early on but as the 1st half went on, the fight slowly left the Bears.  Colorado tried to pull away a few times but they could only manage a 2 point lead at the half.  In the 2nd half, the Buffaloes finally found a way to take control of the game and they finished the contest strong. Colorado was paced by Josh Scott’s 21 point effort as the Buffaloes shot a lusty 63% overall and 66% from 3-point land.  If the shots fall that easily on Monday, the Buffaloes will certainly get another win.
