On Wednesday, the Cornell Big Red will be visiting the Syracuse Orange, who have won three out of their last four games. Last season, the Orange were able to blow out the Big Red 82-60 at home.

This past Sunday, Cornell lost their sixth game of the season when Saint Peter's defeated them 59-52 in overtime. The Big Red made just 33.3 percent of their field goal attempts in that loss and ended up turning the ball over 20 times.

Through their first 12 games of the season, the Big Red have played well defensively, but their offense is only averaging 63.8 points per game. Senior forward Shonn Miller has been their best all-around player this season by averaging 16.8 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game.

Syracuse won their second consecutive game last Sunday when they blew out Long Beach State 85-67 at home. They made seven of their 12 three-pointers in that game and ended up shooting 57.7 percent overall from the field.

The Orange are currently in the top 15 in the league in steals with 9.3 thefts per game. One of their better players has been senior forward Rakeem Christmas, who is now averaging 17.2 points and 8.8 rebounds per game while making 62.1 percent of his shots. Freshman forward Chris McCullough is also playing well, averaging 11.2 points and 7.6 rebounds per game.
