Sunday afternoon, the Colorado Buffaloes will visit the Georgia Bulldogs.
The Colorado Buffaloes had some trouble early but eventually brushed aside the San Francisco Dons 72 - 55 in their last game on Wednesday night. The Buffaloes opened the game on a 7 – 0 run but the Dons quickly recovered and took over the game. At the half, San Francisco was up 34 - 32 and looking for the upset. Colorado came out in the 2nd half with a renewed purpose and they took the game back from San Francisco. The Dons could no longer keep up as the Buffaloes trampled them at the finish. Colorado shot 50% overall and 50% from beyond the arc as they were led by Askia Booker and his 21 point night. Colorado can afford to give Georgia the same breaks that they gave San Francisco if they want to win Sunday’s game.
The Georgia Bulldogs started relatively slowly against the Chattanooga Mocs on Tuesday night but they still took an 86 -55 victory. Georgia led the entire 1st half but it never seemed like they were really that far ahead of Chattanooga considering the disparity in the talent level of both teams. At the half, Georgia was up 39 – 32 but they opened things up in the 2nd half. The Bulldogs quickly took the lead to double-digits and held it there for the rest of the way. The Bulldogs were paced by Kenny Gaines and his 25 point effort as they shot 63% from the field and 63% from 3-point distance while holding the Mocs to 31% and 30% respectively. But Georgia will have a much more talented opponent on their hands Sunday afternoon.
