The Cincinnati Bearcats will take their stingy defense on the road on Tuesday to face the high-scoring NC State Wolfpack. During the 2013-14 season, the Bearcats were able to defeat the Wolfpack 68-57 on their home court.

Last Tuesday, Cincinnati picked up their most lopsided win of the year when they blew out Wagner 72-48 at home. They only made two three-pointers in that win, but they finished with a very solid 53.3 field goal percentage.

Through 11 games this year, the Bearcats have played very poorly on offense, but their defense is only giving up 54.5 points per game. Junior forward Octavius Ellis has been one of their better players by averaging 9.5 points and 7.4 rebounds while making over 60 percent of his shot attempts.

NC State used a 49-26 second half to come back and defeat Louisiana Tech 73-65 at home last Tuesday. They did a great job on the boards in that win, finishing with a dominant 42-30 rebounding advantage.

The Wolfpack are one of the better rebounding teams in the country this season and they are in the top 15 in blocks with 6.3 per game. Their top player has been junior guard Trevor Lacey, who is now averaging 18 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. Sophomore guard Anthony Barber is currently averaging 12.2 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game.
