The Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunners will attempt to win just their third game of the year on Sunday when they visit the California Golden Bears. The Roadrunners have yet to win a road game this season, while California is 7-1 at home.

Last Saturday, CSU snapped their six-game losing streak by beating Idaho State 59-50 on the road. They made 45.7 percent of their shots in that win and ended up with a 34-27 rebounding advantage.

Through their first 12 games this season, the Roadrunners have scored under 60 points per game and have made just 38.8 percent of their shots. Big man Aly Ahmed has averaged a team-high 14 points per game with 6.1 rebounds per game, while junior forward Kevin Mays leads the team in rebounding with 9.3 per game.

Last Monday, California had their seven-game winning streak come to an end when #6 Wisconsin came into town and beat them 68-56 at home. They were outrebounded 39-29 in that loss and were only able to make 38.9 percent of their shot attempts.

So far this year, the Golden Bears are averaging 69.6 points per game while giving up 60.1 points per game to opposing offenses. Junior guard Tyrone Wallace has been their best player this season by averaging 19.3 points and 8.8 rebounds per game while making 50.6 percent of his shot attempts.
