On Sunday afternoon, the Buffalo Bulls will be looking to pull off a miracle upset when they face the #1 Kentucky Wildcats.
On Friday, Buffalo was able to come back in the second half to beat South Dakota State 69-67 on their home court. They were only able to make 32.4 percent of their shots in that win, but they only ended up turning the ball over eight times. They were also great from the free throw line in that game, making 24 of their 30 attempts.
Forward Justin Moss had a very good opening game for the Bulls by scoring a game-high 25 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. Point guard Shannon Evans had 17 points and three steals in that win, while senior Xavier Ford came off of the bench to contribute eight points and nine rebounds.
Kentucky opened their season against Grand Canyon on Friday night and easily beat them by the score of 85-45. They made 48.6 percent of their shots in that game, but more impressive was the fact that they finished with a 51-21 rebounding advantage.
Guard Andrew Harrison was the star of the show for the Wildcats against Grand Canyon by scoring 16 points and grabbing three rebounds. Sophomore center Dakari Johnson came off of the bench to score 10 points and grab 13 boards, while forward Willie Cauley-Stein had 12 points, five rebounds and four blocks.
