The Brown Bears will go on the road on Monday night to face the Providence Friars, who have lost two games in a row. During the 2013-14 season, the Friars defeated the Bears 73-69 on their home court.

Brown has now won three out of their last four games after beating Bryant 69-62 at home on Saturday night. They were great on the boards in that win, finishing with a huge 47-32 rebounding advantage.

The one thing that the Bears do very poorly is steal the ball from their opponents, averaging barely over four team steals per game. Sophomore forward Leland King has been Brown's top all-around player by averaging 15.8 points and eight rebounds per game. Cedric Kuakumensah has scored 11.7 point per game this season while making 45.5 percent of his three-point attempts.

Providence lost their second straight game on Friday night when they were defeated 69-60 by Boston College on the road. They did not shoot the ball well in that loss, making just 39.3 percent of their shots as a team.

So far this season, the Friars have been able to hold their opponents to just 59.6 points per game. Senior forward LaDontae Henton has been their best player through eight games by averaging 19.8 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game. Guard Kris Dunn has scored 10.7 points per game this year while dishing out a team-high 6.6 assists per game.
