The West bracket's #1 seed Arizona Wildcats look to start what they hope is a long tournament run on Friday at 2:10 ET in San Diego. Weber State hopes to make history as the first ever #16 seed to topple the top seed but they'll have to do so as 20 point underdogs. The Wildcats (30-4) have the #2 RPI in the nation while playing the 5th toughest schedule in college basketball.

It's interesting to note that 3 of the team's 4 losses on the year came in their last 10 games, which could be a sign of struggling down the stretch including a 71-75 loss to UCLA in the Pac 12 title game. The Wildcats lost by 3 points to Ohio State in the Sweet 16 of last year's tournament and will look to get over that hump behind the scoring of Nick Johnson (16.2ppg), the offensive direction of T.J. McConnell (5.5apg), and the rebounding presence of freshman Aaron Gordon (7.9rpg).

The Weber State Wildcats (19-11) also stumbled in the home stretch by losing 3 of 10 games but got hot at the right time, winning the Big Sky conference tournament. Weber State looks for their first tournament win since 1999 but makes their first trip since 2007. In this battle of Wildcats it will be Weber State's guard Davion Berry that will be expected to pull the load for his team. Berry averages almost 20 points per game and has notched 12+ in 21 straight contests. 6'10” center Kyle Tresnak showed he can pick up some slack after scoring 27 points in the conference tournament championship.
