Georgia Tech will be in search of just its second win the ACC this season when it makes the trip north to Littlejohn Coliseum this Tuesday night to face the Clemson Tigers. This game is set to tip off at 7 p.m. (ET) and it will be broadcast on ESPN3.
The Yellow Jackets notched their first conference victory just this past Saturday with an 82-62 pounding of Wake Forest as 6.5-point home favorites. They are now 1-5 straight-up in the ACC but still over.500 overall at 11-7 SU. Georgia Tech is 7-9 this season against the spread and the total has gone “over” in six of its last seven games.
Clemson improved to 3-4 SU in the conference with a 77-70 win over Virginia Tech last Saturday, but it could not cover as an 11.5-point favorite at home. The Tigers are now 11-8 SU on the year and still a profitable 10-5 ATS. They are 7-3 SU (3-4 ATS) at home, and the total has stayed “under” in five of their last six games.
Georgia Tech at Clemson Betting Storylines
On a team with no dominant scorer, Georgia Tech does have four different players averaging between nine and 10 points a game. Overall, it is averaging 65.8 points a game while shooting just 42.2 percent from the field. The team has also struggled hitting their shots from three-point range (30.8 percent) and the free-throw line (64.2 percent). It is pulling down an average of 38.6 rebounds and holding its opponents to 59.5 points a game.
Marcus Georges-Hunt and Robert Carter are each scoring around 10.5 points a game, with Carter leading the team in rebounds (6.9) as well. Mfon Udofia is Georgia Tech’s best pure shooter in hitting 43.2 percent from the floor and 35.4 percent from beyond the arc. Given those stats, this team is never going to scare anyone with its ability to shoot the ball, but its defense is more than capable of keeping games close.
Clemson has not fared much better on the offensive side of the ball with 64.3 points a game and a team shooting percentage of 44.1. It is converting on 33.1 percent of its shots from three-point range and on 66.7 of its attempts from the foul line. The Tigers are another team that relies heavily on a defense that is holding opponents to just 57 points a game.
There are three players scoring in double-figures for Clemson led by Devin Booker’s 12.6 points a game. He also leads the team in rebounds with 7.8 a game. KJ McDaniels (11.2 points) and Milton Jennings (10.8 points) round out the trio, while Rod Hall remains the team’s best outside scoring threat with a 50 percent conversion rate from beyond the arc.

Georgia Tech at Clemson Picks and Betting Predictions
These two teams are pretty much evenly-matched with a very pedestrian offense to go along with a defense that has done a good job keeping the scores down. While a play on the under in a contest such as this is always worth a hard look, stick with Clemson at home to win and cover the six-point spread when betting the sides.
