The Washington Wizards will be going on the road on Monday night to face the New Orleans Pelicans, who have won three home games in a row. In late November, the Wizards edged the Pelicans 83-80 in Washington.

In their game against the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday night, the Wizards scored just 34 second-half points and ended up losing 101-92 on the road. They were outrebounded 38-31 in that loss and allowed the Spurs to hit 55.1 percent of their shot attempts.

The Wizards haven't had as strong of an offense this season as they had last year, but their defense is giving up just 98 points per game. Point guard John Wall currently leads the team in scoring, assists and steals per game.

On Friday night, the Pelicans had one of their most impressive wins of the season when they blew out the Houston Rockets 111-83 at home. They made 53 percent of their shots in that game and forced the Rockets into committing 19 turnovers.

Through 33 games this season, the Pelicans are averaging 101.9 points per game while allowing their opponents to score 101.3 points per game against them. Point guard Jrue Holiday has an 18.4 PER right now by averaging 15.3 points, 7.2 assists and 1.5 steals per game. Their top scorer is big man Anthony Davis, who has scored 23.8 points per game.
