On Saturday night, the Utah Jazz will be visiting the Minnesota Timberwolves in a game between two of the lowest scoring teams from the Western Conference.

The Jazz and the Timberwolves played each other for the first time this season this past Tuesday, with the Jazz pulling off a 100-94 home win. Both teams shot the ball pretty well in that game, but Utah came away with a 43-34 rebounding advantage.

In 13 career games against Minnesota, Jazz power forward Derrick Favors has been able to average 8.7 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. Small forward Gordon Hayward has scored 12.3 points per game against the Wolves in his career, while fourth-year center Enes Kanter has averaged 8.9 points and 5.2 boards per game against them in nine career games.

The Timberwolves lost their 10th game in a row on Thursday night when the Sacramento Kings beat them 110-107 in Minnesota. They shot the ball pretty well in that loss, but they also allowed the Kings to make 54.1 percent of their field goal attempts.

Through 31 games, the Timberwolves have one of the worst defenses in the NBA by giving up nearly 109 points per game. Backup center Gorgui Dieng is averaging just under 10 points per game this season and has made 50.7 percent of his shots. Small forward Shabazz Muhammad is averaging 13.9 points per game while making 45.7 percent of his three-point attempts.
