The Sacramento Kings will be going up against the Detroit Pistons on Sunday night in a game between two of the better rebounding teams in the league. In their December matchup, the Kings defeated the Pistons 95-90 at home.

On Thursday night, the Kings were able to snap their two-game losing streak by beating the Minnesota Timberwolves 110-107 on the road. They did turn the ball over 20 times in that game, but they made up for it by hitting 54.1 percent of their shots.

Through 33 games this season, the Kings are one of the better scoring teams in the Western Conference, but their defense is giving up 104.2 points per game. Their best player has been center DeMarcus Cousins, who is now averaging 23.8 points and 12 rebounds per game. Small forward Rudy Gay has a 19.7 PER on the season by averaging 20.8 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.

The Pistons have now won four consecutive games after defeating the New York Knicks 97-81 on the road on Friday. They grabbed 49 rebounds in that win and ended up making 50 percent of their shot attempts.

So far this season, the Pistons are one of the best rebounding teams in the Eastern Conference, but they are barely averaging over 96 points per game. Power forward Greg Monroe has scored 14.4 points per game this season while grabbing a team-high nine rebounds per game.
