On Sunday afternoon, the Dallas Mavericks will be visiting the Cleveland Cavaliers, who are 11-7 at home this season. Last year, the Mavericks were able to win both of their regular season games against the Cavaliers.

In their game against the Boston Celtics on Friday, the Mavericks used a 31-18 third quarter to help them pull off a 119-101 road win. They were excellent on the boards in that win, finishing with a 52-38 rebounding advantage.

The Mavs are currently the top scoring team in the NBA by averaging right around 110 points per game against their opponents. Guard Monta Ellis has been one of their better players through 34 games by averaging 20.7 points, 4.5 assists and 1.8 steals per game. Power forward Dirk Nowitzki is scoring 18.6 points per game while pulling down just under six rebounds per game.

On Friday night, the Cavaliers outscored the Charlotte Hornets 32-18 in the third quarter and ended up winning the game 91-87 on the road. They had just seven turnovers in that game and were able to hold the Hornets to a low 36.8 field goal percentage.

Through 33 games, the Cavs are not in the top 10 in any major statistical category and they are near the bottom of the league in rebounding. Shooting guard Dion Waiters has scored 10.5 points per game this season, but he has only been able to make 26.8 percent of his three-point attempts.
