The Charlotte Hornets will continue their road trip on Monday night when they face the Boston Celtics, who have an 8-10 record at home this season. In their first meeting of the season, the Hornets were able to beat the Celtics 96-87 in Charlotte.

The Celtics lost their second game in a row on Saturday night when the Chicago Bulls beat them 109-104 in overtime. Boston shot the ball pretty well in that loss, but they also ended up with 20 turnovers.

Through 31 games, the Celtics are in the top 10 in the league in both scoring and assists per game, but they are giving up over 104 points per game. Small forward Jeff Green has been one of their better producers this season by averaging 18.2 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.

On Saturday night, the Hornets used a 30-9 second quarter to propel themselves to a 98-90 win over the Orlando Magic on the road. They had a 53-44 rebounding advantage in that win and were able to hold the Magic to a low 37.9 field goal percentage.

The Hornets have only been able to average just over 95 points per game this season and are giving up right around 100 points per game. In his first year in Charlotte, small forward Lance Stephenson is averaging 10.2 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game. Center Al Jefferson is currently their leading scorer with 18 points per game.
