The Washington Wizards are surging towards their first playoff appearance since 2008 while the Sacramento Kings are mired in another lottery season despite trade deadline acquisitions. The teams meet up for the second time this season Tuesday as the Wizards look to improve on their impressive road record.

Washington currently holds the 6th playoff seed which would result in a first round matchup with the Toronto Raptors. The Wizards look to get back on track after a mini struggle recently and are hoping a visit to Sacramento rights the ship. After knocking down 6 straight wins, Washington has since gone 3-3 to allow Brooklyn to take over the #5 spot in the Eastern Conference playoff picture.

Sacramento could be arguably the NBA's most underachieving team with such a talented roster struggling to stay out of the Western Conference basement. They seem to pick and choose their battles though, winning and covering in 4 of their last 10 games. Tuesday night's game will mark the end of a long 7-game road trip for the Kings and they could have tired legs playing their 3rd game in 4 nights.

The Wizards are looking for the same results as the teams' previous matchup, a 93-84 Washington victory on February 9th. Five Wizards notched double figures in scoring to offset 30 points from Kings point guard Isaiah Thomas. Washington covered as five point favorites and Sacramento's poor 35% field goal percentage helped the total fall well below the 205 number.
