The Washington Wizards were able to get the 102-101 road win the last time they played the New York Knicks thanks to a go-ahead bucket by Bradley Beal with just six seconds left in the game. Beal had the Wizards' final seven points and helped to stop Washington's 10-game losing streak at Madison Square Garden.

The game had huge swings of momentum, with the Wizards going into the half with an 11-point lead, but then the Knicks outscored Washington 35-22 in the third quarter to take the two point lead into the fourth. The Wizards were down by as much as six in the final quarter, but were able to come back and win thanks to Beal and an odd decision by the Knicks at the end of the game. After Beal's shot with six seconds left, the Knicks didn't call a timeout and Carmelo Anthony missed the potential game-winning shot at the buzzer.

Beal finished the game with 21 points and seven rebounds in the win. Martell Webster came off of the bench for Washington and scored 30 points, including going 6-for-8 from three-point range. Point guard John Wall had seven turnovers, but he did contribute 20 points, eight assists and six boards.

Anthony was once again the Knicks' best player, scoring 32 points on 12-of 20 shooting, grabbing five rebounds and also blocking four shots in the loss. Shooting guard J.R. Smith had 18 points and six asssists for the home team.
