On Christmas day, the Washington Wizards will try to improve upon their 6-4 road record when they take on the lowly New York Knicks. In their first game against each other this season, the Wizards were able to defeat the Knicks 98-83 in New York.

On Tuesday night, the Wizards lost their second consecutive game when the Chicago Bulls beat them 99-91 in Washington. Their biggest problem in that game was on the boards, as they ended up being outrebounded 52-41.

Through 27 games, the Wizards are near the top of the league in assists per game and points allowed per game. Point guard John Wall has been playing like an All-Star against this season by averaging 17.8 points, 10.4 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game.

On Sunday night, the Knicks lost their fifth game in a row when the Toronto Raptors beat them 118-108 on the road. The Knicks shot the ball well in that loss, but they also ended up being outrebounded 43-32.

Through 30 games, the Knicks have one of the worst offenses in the NBA by averaging just 94.1 points per game. Small forward Carmelo Anthony currently owns a 21.4 PER by averaging 23.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game. Power forward Amar'e Stoudemire has scored 13.4 points per game while pulling down a team-high 7.4 rebounds per game.
