The Washington Wizards head south to face the Miami Heat in their season opener. John Wall claims he and Bradley Beal make-up the best backcourt in the league. The duo definitely made a statement by taking down the Bulls in the last year’s playoffs. However, with Bradley Beal out with an injured wrist, John Wall will have to wait to display what he believes is the best backcourt in the league. Even without Beal, the Washington Wizards are looking better than they have in many years. Taking on the Miami Heat will be a good test to start their season.

The Heat have to create new team chemistry after losing LeBron James to the Cavs. Wade played on 28 games last season, relying on Lebron to control the offense. Wade will have to step up his productivity against this Wizards team. Most importantly for the Heat, is the performance of Chris Bosh. Expect him to be the number 1 scoring option for the Heat. If Bosh is able to deliver the Heat have a good chance at defeating the Wizards. Luol Deng will be a defensive force in this game, but needs to step up his shooting percentage to contribute to a victory. Josh McRoberts has suffered several lingering injuries this past year. If McRoberts is not 100% you can expect the Heat’s rebounding and post game to suffer. Danny Granger is one of the more versatile players in the NBA. He was a great acquisition for the Heat and should have a major impact in this game.
