When the Miami Heat visited the Washington Wizards on Jan. 15 of this year the Wizards handed the Heat their third straight loss by a score of 114-97.  While Miami was enjoying a trip to the White House, John Wall and the Wizards were getting prepared to face the defending champs. Wall led the Wizards with a 25 point, five rebound, nine assist and two block performance.

The Wizards win started with a 20-0 run in the first quarter. The Wizards were playing great and the Heat turned the ball over six times in the first quarter. When the halftime buzzer hit, the Wizards were up 69-48. Come the third quarter, the Heat were playing better and got somewhat back into this one by closing the gap to single digits by a score of 84-75. The Wizards ended up opening the game back up and went up by 17 with just over three minutes left which ended any chance Miami had of getting back into this one.

Washington had seven players score in double digits. Nene Hilario ended the game with 19 points, four rebounds, nine assists, two blocks and two steals. Bradley Beal also chipped in with 19 points, five rebounds and four assists.

The Heat were led by LeBron James who tallied 25 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and two steals. Chris Bosh added 26 points, seven rebounds, two assists and a steal for Miami.
