The Washington Wizards will be going on the road on Saturday night to face the struggling Indiana Pacers in a game between two solid defenses.

The Wizards were able to beat the Pacers 96-94 in overtime at home last Wednesday. Washington didn't play particularly well in that game, but point guard John Wall had a great performance by scoring 31 points and dishing out 10 assists.

In his 12 career games against the Pacers, Wall has averaged 18.3 points, 6.7 assists and 4.7 rebounds per game. Wizards center Marcin Gortat has averaged 9.9 points and 7.4 rebounds per game in 13 games against them, while veteran small forward Paul Pierce has been able to score 20.4 points per game against them with 6.2 rebounds per game.

In their first three home games of the season, the Pacers won one and lost two. They opened up the season with a win at home over the Philadelphia 76ers, but they have since lost to the Memphis Grizzlies and the Wizards in their two other games in Indiana.

The Pacers have played well defensively this so far this season, but they are in the bottom 10 in scoring. Center Roy Hibbert has now played against Washington 21 times in his career and is averaging 12.3 points and 6.5 rebounds per game against them. Veteran forward Luis Scola has averaged 12.9 points and 5.8 rebounds per game against the Wizards in 16 career games.
