The Washington Wizards needed a win and they got one the last time they played the Boston Celtics, taking the 118-92 victory after dominating throughout the contest. With the win, the Wizards were able to guarantee themselves a spot in the playoffs for the first time in six years.

Washington led in just about every statistical category in that game. They shot 62.5% from the floor, which was their best percentage since 2001. They also held the Celtics to just 39.5% shooting and had a 41-29 rebounding advantage on the night. The only thing the Celtics did better than the Wizards in that game was in the turnover category, forcing Washington into 21 while coughing it up 14 times themselves.

Center Marcin Gortat had another solid game for the Wizards by putting up 22 points, eight rebounds and three steals in the win. Shooting guard Bradley Beal made seven of his eight field goal attempts and finished with 19 points on the night. John Wall didn't score as much as he usually does, but he still finished with a double-double with 13 points and 10 assists.

The Celtics didn't get much scoring from their starters, but Jared Sullinger was able to come off of the bench and score a team-high 25 points in the loss. Rajon Rondo was the one starter who had a decent game, scoring 13 points, dishing out six assists and grabbing seven rebounds.
