The Utah Jazz rough start to the season continued the last time they faced off against the New Orleans Pelicans in a game the Pelicans won 105-98 on their home court. The Pelicans relied on a big game from center Anthony Davis and a great second half from Ryan Anderson to hold on for the late-November win.

Davis was the standout player in the game, scoring 22 points, pulling down nine rebounds, and blocking eight shots in his team's win. It was Anderson, though, who helped out most in the second half to make sure the Pelicans walked away with the win. He scored 14 of his 19 points in the half and shot 4-for-6 from the three-point line for the game.

The Pelicans only made 20 of their 33 free throw attempts, but more than made up for it by shooting over 50% from the field in the game.

Derrick Favors had a double-double for Utah, scoring 13 points and adding 11 rebounds in the loss. Shooting guard Gordon Hayward had 11 assists in the game, but went just 1-of-17 and missed all eight of his three-point attempts.

Rookie Trey Burke made his first career NBA appearance for the Jazz after sitting out the first 12 games with a finger injury. The point guard made five of his eight field goal attempts and had 11 points in 12 minutes on the floor.
