On Sunday night, the Utah Jazz will be hoping that their high-scoring offense can best the solid defense of the Detroit Pistons. The Jazz and the Pistons played each other twice last season, with both teams picking up one win.

Utah couldn't get their offense going in that game against the Dallas Mavericks on Friday and ended up getting blown out 105-82 at home. They made just 42.3 percent of their shots in that loss and they turned the ball over 21 times.

Through their first six games, the Jazz have struggled on defense by giving up 104.5 points per game to their opponents. Small forward Gordon Hayward has had a good start to the season by scoring 18 points per game and grabbing 6.3 rebounds per game.

On Friday night, the Pistons won their second consecutive game by defeating the Milwaukee Bucks 98-95. They made 11 of their 23 three-point attempts in that win and they finished with a 40-35 rebounding advantage.

The Pistons have played very well defensively so far this season, but their offense is near the bottom of the league by only scoring 91.2 points per game. Small forward Josh Smith is averaging 14.2 points per game while grabbing 7.8 rebounds per game. Power forward Greg Monroe has played in three games and has averaged 17 points and 12 rebounds per game.
