The Utah Jazz will be playing in the fifth of their six consecutive road games when they square off against the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday night. Both teams are currently near the bottom of their respective conferences.

Last season, the Jazz were able to sweep their two-game series against the Hornets. Utah won the first game 88-85 on their home court, and then defeated Charlotte again about a week later by the score of 83-30 on the road. The two games were very similar in that neither team was able to shoot over 45 percent from the field and they both ended up with about the same amount of rebounds in each game.

Jazz small forward Gordon Hayward has averaged 9.5 points and 4.7 rebounds per game against Charlotte in his career, while power forward Derrick Favors has scored 9.8 points per game against them in eight games. Center Enes Kanter has only played against the Hornets five times, averaging eight points and 7.2 rebounds per game.

Charlotte is currently near the bottom of the league in scoring, point against, rebounding and team assists per game. Hornets’ big man Al Jefferson has been able to average 16.8 points and 8.1 rebounds per game against the Jazz in 16 career games, while small forward Lance Stephenson has scored just 6.8 points per game against them in five games.
