The Toronto Raptors, who have won four out of their five games away from home this season, will be visiting the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday night. In their two games against each other last year, the Raptors and the Lakers each picked up a road win.

On Friday night, the Raptors had their six-game winning streak snapped when the Dallas Mavericks beat them 106-102. They did have a 55-37 rebounding advantage in that loss, but they also committed 17 turnovers.

Through 16 games, the Raptors are in the top 10 in both scoring and points allowed. Their top scorer is shooting guard DeMar DeRozan, who is averaging 19.4 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game. Center Jonas Valanciunas is averaging 11.9 points and a team-high 8.3 rebounds per game.

The Lakers couldn't make their last-second shot in their game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday and lost 120-119 at home. They had one of their better shooting nights in that game, but they also allowed the Timberwolves to make 57 percent of their shots.

So far this year, the Lakers have been able to score plenty of points, but their defense is one of the worst by giving up 111.4 points per game. Center Jordan Hill is the team's most improved player through 16 games by averaging 13.4 points and a team-best 9.4 rebounds per game.
