In Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinals on Saturday night, the San Antonio Spurs had yet another easy win against the Portland Trail Blazers by beating them 118-103 and taking a 3-0 lead in the series.
San Antonio was able to get off to a good start yet again and led by 10 points after the first quarter. They then extended their lead to 20 points going into the locker rooms at halftime. Portland played a lot better in the third quarter and were able to put a dent in the Spurs' lead, but it was just too much of a hole for them to crawl out of and San Antonio held on for the 15-point win.
Point guard Tony Parker was the Spurs' best player in the game and had 29 points after making 12 of his 20 shots while also assisting on six other baskets. Star power forward Tim Duncan went 8-for-18 from the field in the game and finished with 19 points and seven rebounds.
LaMarcus Aldridge only made nine of his 23 shot attempts, but he was still the Trail Blazers' top player in the game with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Nicolas Batum was solid in the losing effort with 20 points and nine rebounds, while shooting guard Wesley Matthews pitched in with 22 points, including 12 points from three-point range.
