The San Antonio Spurs will be taking on the struggling defense of the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night. Last season, the Spurs were able to win two out of their three games against the Timberwolves.

The Timberwolves finally were able to snap their long losing streak on Wednesday when they blew out the New York Knicks 115-99 at home. They made 11 of their 22 three-point shots in that win, and their defense was able to force 22 turnovers.

The Wolves have scored 102 points per game through 10 games, but they have also given up 108.9 points per game. Shooting guard Kevin Martin has started off the season very well by averaging a team-best 20.4 points per game. Point guard Ricky Rubio has scored 9.4 points per game while dishing out 10 assists per game.
