In Game 2 of the NBA Finals, the Miami Heat were able to tie the series at one win apiece by beating the San Antonio Spurs 98-96 to take home court advantage away from them. The Heat shot 52.9 percent from the field in the game and had a slight rebounding advantage.

The Spurs were out to a 26-19 lead after the first quarter and looked like they could be on their way to a 2-0 lead in the series, but the Heat stepped it up in the second quarter and were able to tie the score going into the half. The score was close from there on out, but the Heat's stars played great down the stretch and they held on for a crucial two-point win.

LeBron James led the way for the Heat by making 14 of his 22 field goal attempts and finishing with 35 points, 10 rebounds and two steals in the win. Center Chris Bosh was 6-for-11 from the field and had 18 points, a steal and a block.

The Spurs' best player in the loss was point guard Tony Parker, who finished with a team-high 21 points and also contributed seven assists. Shooting guard Manu Ginobili came off the bench for San Antonio to score 19 points and assisted on four other baskets. Veteran power forward Tim Duncan posted a double-double for the hosts by finishing with 18 points and a game-high 15 rebounds.
