The last time the Golden State Warriors met the San Antonio Spurs they had a prime chance to steal one with the Spurs All-Star trio sitting out. Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, and Tony Parker were sitting for their second straight game as they rested bruised body parts. Regardless of the gaping hole in the Spurs' offense, they were still able to come away with a win over the Warriors 104-102.

The game was decided by a game-winner scored by Tiago Splitter. He managed to tip a rebound in with 2.1 seconds left to go in the game. The Warriors led by as much as 14 in the second quarter, but things started slipping away when they fell behind by nine in the third. Stephen Curry had 30 points and a career high 15 assists for the Warriors. He kept the game close and helped close the gap in the fourth, including hitting a tying 3-pointer toward the end of the game. Also helping out were David Lee, who had 32 points and 13 boards and Andrew Bogut, who collected 18 rebounds.

The Spurs had help from just about the whole team, including 28 points from Marco Belinelli, 21 points and 10 rebounds from Kawhi Leonard, and Patty Mills added 20 points of his own. Leonard and Mills both recorded season-highs in the win against the Warriors. The bigger story here may have been the sloppy play by both teams. The Warriors allowed a season high 31 points off of 24 turnovers and San Antonio did not do much better with 19 turnovers for 19 points.
