The San Antonio Spurs will be going for their ninth win in a row when they go up against the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night.

Late last month, the Spurs were able to defeat the Nets 99-87 on their home court. San Antonio shot 51.9 percent from the field in that win, while the Nets were only able to make 37.4 percent of their shots.

Nets veteran shooting guard Joe Johnson has played against the Spurs 32 times in his career, averaging 15.2 points and 3.4 rebounds per game against them. Point guard Deron Williams has averaged 17.6 points and 7.3 assists per game against San Antonio, while big man Brook Lopez has scored 15.8 points per game against them while grabbing 7.9 rebounds per game.

The Spurs are now on an eight-game winning streak after defeating the Philadelphia 76ers 109-103 on Monday night. In that win, the Spurs made 43.4 percent of his shots and outrebounded the 76ers 52-42.

Through 17 games, the Spurs are third in the NBA in points allowed by only giving up 93.1 points per game. Veteran power forward Tim Duncan currently has a team-high 22 PER by averaging 14 points, 9.9 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game. Point guard Tony Parker leads the team in scoring with 17.3 points per game and he has dished out 5.7 assists per game.
