Kevin Durant was coming off his big 54-point scoring night the last time the Oklahoma City Thunder played the Sacramento Kings, and while he couldn't match that performance, he did help his team to a 108-93 home victory. This was a pretty close game until the Thunder broke out in the third quarter to take a 15-point lead into the fourth quarter.

Durant had more of an ordinary game by his standards in this one, scoring 30 points, grabbing six rebounds, and dishing out nine assists in the win. He also added four steals and blocked two shots for a nice all-around game. Serge Ibaka added 20 points, six rebounds and two blocks for Oklahoma City, who increased their record to 8-5 since Russell Westbrook's knee injury at the time. Westbrook's replacement, Reggie Jackson, went just 4-for-16 from the field, but scored 16 points in the win.

The Kings lost despite a very solid game from third-year point guard Isaiah Thomas, who scored a career-best 38 points in the loss. DeMarcus Cousins had a nice game as well, scoring 16 points and pulling down 14 rebounds. Rudy Gay had an off game for the road team, scoring just six points in 27 minutes on the floor.

The win helped the Thunder maintain their spot at the top of the Northwest Division, while the Kings stayed down around the bottom of the Western Conference standings.
