The last time the Sacramento Kings saw the New Orleans Pelicans, they were able to beat them at home 96-89 thanks in large part to the their work on the glass. The Kings dominated on the boards, grabbing 47 while the Pelicans only had 30 on the night.

DeMarcus Cousins got into foul trouble early in the game for the Kings, but he was still their top man on the night with 23 points and 12 rebounds in just over 28 minutes on the floor. Reggie Evans was a key player off the bench for Sacramento, scoring 10 points and bringing down 13 rebounds in the game. Point guard Isaiah Thomas added 22 points and dished out five assists for the hosts.

Tyreke Evans carried the Pelicans pretty much the whole night. He had 27 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists for the near triple-double. Evans kept the Pelicans in the game late by scoring 14 points in the fourth quarter alone, but New Orleans lacked contributions from other players, so it wasn't enough to pull of the win.

New Orleans' All-Star Anthony Davis had on of his worst games in this one. He missed ten straight shots at one point and only ended up with 13 points on the night.

The loss was the Pelicans' eighth in a row and kept them near the bottom of the Western Conference standings.
