The Sacramento Kings last played the Minnesota Timberwolves on March 1st in Sacramento.  The Timberwolves came out with the win with a final score of 108-97.  With the win over the Kings, the Timberwolves fought back to a .500 record on the season and had won their fifth straight game. The Kings leading scorer was Rudy Gay who had 22 points in the first half, but only two points during the second half to finish the night with 24 points. 

Sacramento seemed to move the game plan away from Gay in the second half despite his early success.  The Kings were in the game until they allowed the Timberwolves to outscore them 31-16 in the third quarter.  Despite a late comeback the Kings had no chance to make up the points they had allowed during the third quarter.

Minnesota was led by Kevin Love who had 22 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists, two steals and a block.  Kevin Martin was the game’s leading scorer with 26 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Currently the Timberwolves have won seven of their last ten games and are sitting five and a half games behind the eighth spot in the conference.  The Kings are currently fifteen and a half games away from the eighth spot in the conference.
