On Wednesday night, the Sacramento Kings will be going up against the Houston Rockets in a game that will feature two of the better rebounding teams in the NBA.

During the 2013-14 season, the Kings and the Rockets split their four-game regular season series against each other. There were multiple blowouts in that series, with the biggest one coming in their last matchup of the series when the Rockets won 129-103 in Sacramento.

In his 14 games against the Rockets, Kings big man DeMarcus Cousins has averaged 16.1 points and 8.9 rebounds per game. Veteran small forward Rudy Gay has scored 16.8 points per game in 31 career games against Houston, while point guard Darren Collison has averaged 11.4 points and 3.9 assists per game against them.

The Rockets won their second consecutive game on Monday night by beating the New York Knicks 91-86 at home. James Harden was excellent in that win, scoring a game-high 36 points and grabbing six rebounds.

Houston’s defense has been one of the best in the NBA through 14 games, giving up just 92 points per game. Center Dwight Howard is having another solid year by averaging 18.8 points and 11.3 rebounds per game for the Rockets. Their best all-around player has been All-Star shooting guard James Harden, who is averaging 24.4 points, 6.7 assists and 6.4 rebounds per game.
