With a seven game losing streak to break, the Sacramento Kings got help in their center, DeMarcus Cousins the last time the Bulls played the Kings. After being sidelined for the previous six games, Cousins decided he had nursed his sprained ankle enough and was ready to help the Kings get back into the win column. Cousins, with his still sore ankle, showed no signs of being in any immediate pain. In his 34 minutes of play, he manged to drop 8 of 15 shots and 9 of 15 free-throws for 25 points while adding one shot block. He was able to help the Kings to a 99-70 victory over the Bulls that snapped that seven game losing streak.
The Bulls only shot 28.2 percent in the game, which was the lowest percentage the Kings have ever held an opponent to in their franchise history. The Kings also dominated the boards, out-rebounding the Bulls 50-30. The Kings led early in the first and never looked back. Isaiah Thomas contributed with 19 points, Rudy Gay put in 14 points, and Jimmer Fredette scored 11.
Joakim Noah was not much help for the Bulls, as he was ejected in the third-quarter after receiving two techs within three minutes. In the end, he only contributed four points and four boards. Jimmy Butler was the Bulls big scorer with 17 points while Tony Snell and Taj Gibson both had 11 apiece. The Kings contested shots all day long and the Bulls defense, that has been stellar thus far in the season, didn't hold up their end of the bargain.
