The Portland Trail Blazers were able to snap the 6 game winning streak of the Spurs the last time these two teams met.  The final score was 109-100 with Portland playing extremely well to beat arguably the best team in professional basketball.   This game was extremely exciting to watch as both teams looked for quick scores which led to an extremely close game right down to the end.

At halftime the score was close, but Portland came out of their locker room ready to play and were quickly up by ten points.  Despite the ten point advantage earlier, the Trail Blazers only managed to go into the fourth quarter with a two point lead and it looked like anyone’s game again.  With only four minutes left in the game the score was 100-100, but then Portland managed to go on a 9-0 run shooting three long balls in a row which ended the game 109-100 in favor of the Trail Blazers.

The last time these two teams played it looked like the Trail Blazers were one of the best teams in the West, but now their record leaves them in the middle of the pack in the conference.  Meanwhile, the Spurs are in the top spot in the Western Conference and look to extend their ½ game lead over the Oklahoma City Thunder.
