On Jan. 20, the Portland Trail Blazers visited the Houston Rockets at the Toyota Center and won the matchup 126-113. At the time, Portland was playing great basketball and were on a five game win streak. The Rockets came into the game ready to end the Trail Blazers' streak.

The Rockets scrored 70 points in the first half and were able to hold on behind the stellar play of Chandler Parsons. Parsons finished the game with 31 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists, two blocks and hit 3-of-5 from downtown. James Harden pitched in with 22 points and five assists on a night where the Rockets just couldn't miss from the field. Houston finished the game shooting 52 percent from the field. The also shot a blistering 48.5 percent from behind the arc.

There was a point in this game where one could say the game was in question. Midway through the third quarter, the Trail Blazers were able to trim the lead to six after being down as much as 22. This was negated by a seven point run by the Rockets and the Trail Blazers were never able to recover.

Portland was led by LaMarcus Aldridge with 27 points, 20 rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block. The Trail Blazers also got contributions from Damian Lillard with 24 points and five assists, and Wesley Matthews with 18 points on 8-of-17 shooting.

Houston has owned the series between these two over the last 10 games going 7-3 straight up since early 2012. Houston is also 7-3-1 against the spread and have covered in four of the last five head-to-head meetings.

Both teams are covering at around a 50 percent clip over the last month. Houston has performed better ATS away from home as has Portland.
