On Saturday night, the Portland Trail Blazers will be going up against the New Orleans Pelicans, who are a solid 8-3 on their home floor this season.

In their first game against each other this season, the Blazers were able to defeat the Pelicans 102-93 at home. Portland had 18 turnovers in that win, but they also made 50 percent of their shots while holding New Orleans to a 44.7 field goal percentage.

In eight games against the Pelicans, Blazers point guard Damian Lillard has been able to average 22.1 points and 5.4 assists per game. Power forward LaMarcus Aldridge has averaged 18.2 points and 8.6 boards per game against New Orleans, while small forward Nicolas Batum has scored 10.4 points per game against them in 21 career games.

The Pelicans outscored the Houston Rockets 34-22 in the fourth quarter of their game on Thursday night to help them pull off a 99-90 road win. Big man Anthony Davis was excellent in that win, finishing with 30 points, 14 rebounds, five blocks and two steals.

New Orleans is averaging about 103 points per game this season, but they have also allowed their opponents to score about over 100 points per game against them. Davis is now averaging 24.8 points and 10.3 rebounds per game this year and is making over 58 percent of his shot attempts.
