Friday night, the Portland Trailblazers will travel to the Windy City to face the Chicago Bulls.

The Portland Trailblazers will make the 4th stop on their 5 game road trip in Chicago after a Wednesday night game in Minneapolis where they took on the Minnesota Timberwolves.   Portland saw their 5 game win streak end on Wednesday as they lost to Minnesota by a score of 90 – 82.  The Timberwolves stunned the Blazers by taking advantage early and by halftime, Minnesota was up by 8 points.  Minnesota continued to pour it on in the 2nd half but Portland managed to make it close in the final minutes.  Fatigue could have been a factor for the Blazers as it was the 2nd game in as many nights.  There won’t be much rest for Portland as they have back to back games Friday and Saturday.  If the Blazers come into Chicago still tired, the Bulls could make them pay.

The Chicago Bulls started slow in their Wednesday night matchup against the Brooklyn Nets but they finished strong to take a 105 - 80 victory.  Brooklyn held the lead after the 1st quarter but it was a 51 – 51 game at the half.  Chicago clamped down defensively on Brooklyn in the 2nd half as their offense picked up and they put the Nets in their rearview mirror.  The solid defensive effort from Chicago will definitely help them as they try to avenge their November 21st loss to Portland.  Chicago should be in a great position to take advantage of a road weary Portland team.
