The last time the Phoenix Suns played the Portland Trail Blazers, the Suns were able to snap the Trail Blazers' 11-game winning streak. Even though Portland has obviously been the better team this season, the Suns posed a tough matchup for them in their first meeting because they were able to use their speed against the Blazers' bigger lineup.

The Suns were able to shoot 51.9% from the field on the night, including making 10 threes in the game. They also outrebounded the Blazers 43-39 and had nine steals to Portland's four. Other than Gerald Green going 3-for-14 from the field, just about everyone who stepped foot on the floor for Phoenix had a solid game.

Suns point guard Goran Dragic was easily the best player in that game, scoring 31 points and dishing out 10 assists in the win. Channing Frye made ten of his 12 field goal attempts for 25 points. Markieff Morris came off the bench for the Suns to score 19 points for the hosts.

As is usually the case, Portland power forward LaMarcus Aldridge was the best player on the team in the game, scoring 24 points but only bringing down four rebounds in the loss. Center Robin Lopez didn't score as much as he usually does in this one, but he did have a double-double with 10 points and 10 boards.
