The Phoenix Suns were able to improve to 20-11 at home the last time they played the New Orleans Pelicans by beating them 116-104 in front of their own fans. Phoenix point guard Goran Dragic played in the game with an injured ankle, but he didn't show it as he had a career night and led his team to victory.

The game was back and forth for the first three quarters, but the Suns were able to take off in the fourth. The two teams came into the final quarter tied, but Phoenix was able to outscore the Pelicans 35-25 to make it look like an easier win than it actually was.

Both teams shot the ball well in the game, with the Suns shooting 54.1% and the Pelicans shooting at a 53.8% clip. New Orleans' main downfall was in the foul department, allowing the Suns to shoot 32 free throws, of which they made 26.

Dragic certainly showed why fans thought that he should have been an All-Star this season. His sore ankle didn't stop him from scoring a career-high 40 points on 11-of-17 shooting. He made three of his seven three-point attempts and went 9-for-11 at the free throw line in the win.

The Pelicans' top player on the night was power forward Anthony Davis, who had 32 points, nine rebounds and three steals in the loss.
