The last time the Phoenix Suns and the Minnesota Timberwolves faced each other Kevin Love nearly had a triple-double as he lead the Timberwolves to a 110-101 road win. Love finished the game with 33 points, 13 boards and nine helpers in a game that was back and forth until the Timberwolves took over in the fourth quarter.

The Suns actually went into the fourth quarter with a six point lead, but the Timberwolves took off from there behind the play of Love and rookie Shabazz Muhammad. The Timberwolves ended up outscoring the Suns 35-20 in the final period to hold on for the win. That is the most the Timberwolves have outscored any opponent in the fourth quarter this season.

Muhammad finished the game with 20 points, six rebounds and two steals in the game. It was a career-high in points for the small forward, who has been one of the more disappointing rookies this season.

The top performers in the game for the Suns were P.J. Tucker, who had 15 rebounds, and Markieff Morris, who had 24 points off the bench for the home team.

Neither team shot particularly well from beyond the 3-point arc, with the Wolves going 5-for-18 and the Suns making just three of their 15 attempts. It was a three-pointer by Love, though, that sealed the game with less than 30 seconds left in the fourth quarter.
