The Philadelphia 76ers visited the New York Knicks on Jan. 22 and escaped Madison Square Garden with a 110-106 win. Evan Turner scored a career high and led the 76ers with 34 points, 11 rebounds and two assists. Rookie of the Year candidate Michael Carter-Williams had 19 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists and two steals. The 76ers also got help from Thaddeus Young who added 19 points and seven rebounds.

Carmelo Anthony led the Knicks with 28 points, four rebounds, seven assists, two steals and a block but it wasn't enough as the Knicks squandered another opportunity to win a game.

The Knicks were up six points in the fourth and then went scoreless for five minutes straight and essentially sealed their fate.

Andrea Bargnani added 20 for the Knicks while Tyson Chandler contributed 10 points and 14 rebounds.
