It's starting to gain legendary status like Wayne Gretzky's 30-game scoring streak, Joe DiMaggio's 56-game hit streak, or even the 90 straight wins from the UConn Women's basketball team, but Philadelphia's 25 game losing streak doesn't exactly carry the pomp and circumstance from those great sports feats. Most people think number 26 is inevitable with a Thursday night trip to Houston but the 76ers have actually toppled the Rockets already this year.

Philly has actually been playing respectable lately save for a 22-point loss to the Spurs on Monday. Prior to that the 76ers had gone 4-0 ATS in two matchups against Chicago, a game in Indiana and at home against the Knicks. Granted they didn't actually win any of those matchups, but they were all in single digits with feasible chances at a win going into the final quarter.

Houston looks to avoid the complacency against Philadelphia that other top teams have been prone to as they shoot for their 5th straight win. The Rockets have covered some large spreads over that span (-13,-7.5,-5) while going 3-1 against the number. Houston expects to see a double-digit line as they look to topple 100 points for the 6th straight time.

There aren't many teams that the 76ers can boast they've beat this year but Houston was one of them in a 123-117 win on November 13th. Granted Philadelphia's record was a much more respectable 4-4 prior to that meeting which would explain the low Philly +6.5 line. Still, James Anderson erupted for 36 points to pull off the upset.
