Atlanta has faltered big time down the stretch as they try to hold off the Knicks for the 8th playoff spot in the Eastern Conference but their eyes get a little bigger as Philadelphia is coming to town. After a visit to Atlanta the 76ers play 6 of their final 8 games against playoff teams so a win over the Hawks could be one of their last chance at a victory in 2013/14.

The 76ers skid has officially become a thing in itself, tying for the longest in NBA history. There was a stretch a little over 10 days ago where the '6ers hadn't given up hope, losing by single digits to New York, Indiana, and Chicago twice over a four game stretch. That notion was quickly dispelled with back-to-back 22 point losses to San Antonio and Houston. When a team is getting 19.5 and 20 points in consecutive game yet goes 0-2 ATS it's the sign of a bad season. They at least ended the streak on Saturday against the Pistons, however, so they won't sit alone as the team with the worst losing streak in NBA history.

Atlanta has looked like the team with their bags packed for the offseason lately during a 5-game skid. Oddsmakers aren't even making them favorites anymore as the Hawks have gotten points in 6 of their last 7 games. Regardless they maintain a 1.5 lead over the Knicks for the last playoff seed but a loss to Philadelphia Monday might have the Eastern Conference just go with 7 teams in the postseason.

The Hawks brought it home the last time the teams met up, going into Philly and winning 125-99. Atlanta was able to clear the benches and get all but one player in the scoring column to easily cover the -5 while the total climbed over 213.
