The Orlando Magic, who are 3-5 on the road this season, will be visiting the Charlotte Hornets on Friday night. During the 2013-14 season, the Hornets and the Magic split their two-game regular season series.

On Wednesday, the Magic had a hard time getting their shots to go down and ended up losing 114-90 to the Los Angeles Clippers on the road. They did have a 48-39 rebounding advantage in that loss, but they also shot just 39.5 percent from the field.

The Magic are near the bottom of the league in scoring so far this year with just 96.5 points per game. Their top scorer has been small forward Tobias Harris, who is averaging 18.9 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. Center Nikola Vucevic has averaged 18.8 points and a team-high 11.9 rebounds per game.

The Hornets lost their third game in a row on Wednesday when they were defeated 88-86 by the Indiana Pacers on the road. They only turned the ball over five times in that game, but they were outrebounded 51-41.

Through 12 games, the Hornets have only been able to score 93.9 points per game against their opponents. Center Al Jefferson has been their best all-around player by scoring 20.7 points per game and grabbing 6.8 boards per game. Shooting guard Lance Stephenson has averaged 9.8 points per game, but he has only made 37 percent of his shots.
