The No. 1 seed San Antonio Spurs will be going up against the No. 2 seed Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals starting on Monday night. The Spurs dominated in their series against Portland and needed five games to get through to this round, while the Thunder got strong performances from MVP Kevin Durant to move on against the Clippers.

The Thunder were blown out by the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 1 of the conference semifinals, but they were able to win four of the next five games to win the series. In the series-clinching game, Kevin Durant was able to score 39 points to help his team finish off the Clippers.

Through 13 playoff games this year, Durant has averaged 31.4 points, 9.5 rebounds and 4.3 assists. Point guard Russell Westbrook has also played well this postseason by averaging 26.6 points, 8.4 assists and 1.7 steals for the Thunder.

The Spurs did lose one game in their series with the Portland Trail Blazers, but they dominated the other four on their way to an easy series win. They finished off the Blazers in Game 5 last Wednesday by turning up the pressure in the second half and ended up winning by 18 points.

Tim Duncan has averaged 15.8 points and 8.3 rebounds in the Spurs' 12 playoff games. Point guard Tony Parker has been the team's leading scorer by averaging 19.3 points per game.
