The Oklahoma City Thunder, who are just 3-8 away from home this year, will be going on the road on Friday to face the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Thunder were able to win three out of their four games against the Timberwolves last season. The Wolves actually had the biggest win of the series, though, when they defeated them 100-81 early last season.

Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook has faced Minnesota 20 times in his career, averaging 21.3 points, 9.2 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game against them. Power forward Serge Ibaka has averaged 9.6 points and 6.4 boards per game against the Wolves, while center Kendrick Perkins has scored 7.4 points per game against them in 24 games.

The Timberwolves snapped their six-game losing skid on Wednesday by defeating the Portland Trail Blazers 90-82 at home. Their defense forced 20 turnovers in that win and they were able to hold the Blazers to a 38.8 field goal percentage.

Through their first 21 games of the season, the Wolves have had one of the worst defenses in the NBA by allowing opposing offenses to score 108.8 points per game against them. Small forward Shabazz Muhammad has had a pretty good start to the season by averaging 11 points per game in just 17.8 minutes per game off of the bench. Center Nikola Pekovic has scored 11.9 points per game and has grabbed a team-high 8.1 rebounds per game.
